According to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, every child has the right to education and at the InnerCity Mission of Christ Embassy; we are committed to the realization of this objective - quality education for all children on the basis of equal opportunity regardless of sex or social status.

The InnerCity Mission Academy is our free educational program through which we provide free and quality education to those who probably could never afford to go to School or have given up hope for an education. The InnerCity Mission Academy has a peculiar curriculum that helps to inculcate not just knowledge, but the essence of God's Word with a view giving the child a well-rounded education on all levels of human existence. We have included special subjects such as Christian Living and Ministry Doctrines tailored to build godly character, discipline and increase the children's knowledge of God's word. With seasoned and committed teachers, combined with our innovative programs, our children are prepared for a life of champions and of relevance in their world.

The Pre-Primary Class

In the Pre-Primary class, we have mixed with the children a special group who are above the entry age for Primary School but cannot read or write - this is where we bring them up to speed with specialized one-on-one tutoring. We found that it works better to put them with other children instead of separating them into a class on their own as most are able to go on and excel in the Primary School within the space of one[1] academic session.

Extended School Day Program

Most of our children come from poor backgrounds and several live in slums and shanty towns with little or no adult supervision. So, we came up with a special After-School Program packed with extra-curricular activities and home work support for those that need it. As part of the Extended School Day Program, every pupil belongs to belongs to a Club, these Clubs are specially designed to help bring out the best in every child; suitable indoor games and out-door sports are organized and pupils are encouraged to participate actively. By this, we ensure an all round development of the mind and body, keep them off the streets, improve their personal and social skills thus equipping them to successfully compete with their peers outside the School premises.
