Send Portions to them for whom nothing has been prepared
The Christmas season is a time of great joy and celebration, it is the season to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is indeed a time to "... eat the fat and drink the sweet...", but the Man of God, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome admonishes us to do something more, "send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared".
Nehemiah 8:10b [NLB] says '.....go and celebrate with a feast of rich foods and sweet drinks, and share gift of food with people who have nothing prepared.'
The vision of our Man of God, Pastor Chris is to reach out to every child who needs help all around the world; launched during the yuletide of 2008 the Send Portions Campaign is a special feeding outreach to children in the inner cities has so far been conducted in over 100 inner city communities all over Lagos and in cities across Nigeria and in parts of Africa.
In addition to feeding children in inner cities, we visit orphanages, hospitals and related institutions that cater for children in need and distribute Food Boxes to needy families with children living in very poor conditions.
Campaign Objectives
- To feed hungry children in inner cities, orphanages and related institutions thatcater for children in need around us this Christmas.
- To give them special Christmas gifts and extend the excitement of the season.
- To minister to them the message of Christmas, the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ not just in word, but in deed.
